Enter Zozo's pub, ascend the staircase, use the Rust Rid to open a door, and you'll be treated to a short dungeon with an emotionally turbulent Knight of Doma at its end. Go there, chat with a conspicuous merchant at the northern stretch of the city, and purchase the 'Rust Rid' item from them. Thing is, the carrier pigeon's clearly headed elsewhere - Zozo, to be exact. Find the small house with a woman inside and speak with her to learn her alleged boyfriend's been sending her letters from Mobliz. You've been here before, but that was when the planet made sense now it's far from its original location.

There's a village on the southwestern continent called Maranda. Fight a few battles in this fashion and the wild kid is happily aboard the airship. The trouble is, Gau runs away if you have a full party. Locating the Veldt requires flying the Falcon over to the northeastern edge of the World of Ruin, but there's no mistaking its dryness once you're there. Continuing their individual story arcs - and recruiting a few new faces along the way - is what this guide's all about. We're going to assume that most players would rather enjoy the fullness of FF6's famously bleak second half, however, rather than turning it into something more akin to a 'final ten percent.'
